Welcome back, to yet another night of Niji Nights! We’re bringing in another year of Characters of Color in celebration of Juneteenth. There’s nothing more that I love than highlighting characters of color. I feel Japan sometimes has skewed views on other cultures that is different than theirs but some of these characters were pivotal in the plot in these anime. It’s rare to see a colored character as a protagonist but it’s just as important to recognize them.
