The holidays are a time to gather with your loved ones–which definitely means your weeb friends. Whether you’re close in proximity to them or not, it’s always nice to have a few games that you can play together, relax, and enjoy Weebsmas with. Here’s just a few games that we think would be perfect to play with all the weebs in your lives. And fair warning–some of these will certainly cause the happiest time of the year to perhaps turn a little hostile. But what’s a good holiday without a little game-induced drama?

Terraria

A co-op game where no one will get hurt. Unless someone decides to destroy the beach that is. Then you may want to make use of the friendly fire function.
Pummel Party

If you want a fun, online, alternate to Mario Party, I would recommend Pummel Party. Because nothing says Weebsmas like decking someone’s halls under the mistlefoe.
R.E.P.O.

Nothing says Weebsmas like playing a game where you’re a repo man. Repossessing stuff for money is like a wonderful co-op gift to yourselves. Just forget about the monsters, y’know?
Peak

So you can bond over working together to reach an impossible goal. Or reenact that one Mufasa and Scar scene.
Mario Kart

This is a friendly, competitive game that links back to, at least, my childhood. There’s no real competition here–there’s just banding together to make sure Mario loses.
Valheim

If you like survival, building, and literally fighting for your life–this is the holiday game for you. You can enjoy the peaceful viking life–until you accidentally piss off a troll and lead it back to the campsite. But you can roast meat around a fire–close enough to chestnuts, right?
Uno (outback style)

So, Uno is classic game you can play online or in-person, but Star would recommend you play in-person so you can play ‘outback’ style–which is basically when you can endlessly stack cards. It gets cutthroat fast.
White Elephant

No winter gathering would be complete without a game of white elephant. Bonus points for weeby gifts.
Apples to Apples/Cards Against Humanity

This needs no introduction. We know what this is all about.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (show rules only)

Nothing shows true friendship like playing a game of Duel Monsters. One of the friendliest games based on anime. Because friendship makes you stronger. And also if you play Duel Monsters you HAVE you play by the rules in the show. Not the rules printed in the booklets. By show rules. AKA, almost everything goes.
Hope you and your friends have a great Weebsmas!
