Hey everyone! Welcome back to another day of Otakutober 2025! Looks like we have never done a recommendation list for scary anime. Which is a little wild to be honest, since we’ve been posting this event for quite some time now. Oh well, let’s do it!
Let’s start by saying that the anime we’ll be listing will be of the horror genre but it’s rare that an anime is actually frightening. They may be creepy and unsettling but not super “scary”. We won’t write much of a brief to keep the suspense and scare factor a complete mystery.

The actions of the young little girls of Higurashi.

The horrific imagery of Devilman crybaby.

The honesty of Grimm Variations.
I want to stress that the anime listed here are disturbing. Even though they look harmless they have some truly disturbing moments. This is not for the sensitive souls haha. Happy watching!
