Welcome back to Otaku Thursday! And happy St. Patrick’s Day! Now, while St. Paddy’s and anime don’t often mix, we still thought it’d be fun to do something that loosely connected for today’s post. We thought we could talk about Irish myth inspired anime…but then we got a little busy! So instead, we’re going to be highlighting the color of the holiday–the color of the leprechaun–the color of the four leaf color. Today we’re going to be highlighting some of our favorite green haired characters!
Makoto from Free!
Yes he has greenish-brown, mostly brown but olive hair according to Wikipedia (and Star’s A+ color sense).
Iura from Horimiya
My favorite energetic green haired who deserved more screentime. His manga storyline’s are gold.
Kouki (Green) from Tokyo 24th Ward
While this is a new anime, we already love all the characters and we couldn’t not include Green.
Joe from Sk8: The Infinity
One of our favorite skater boys. We’re still holding out for a prequel anime about him, Cherry, and Adam as teens. We may wait forever.
Hana from Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku
My absolute fave from Wotakoi. An absolute cosplaying queen who we can only aspire to be.
Lenalee from D.Gray-Man
We’ve really been falling back into D.Gray-Man everything recently as we prepare cosplay so Lenalee was my mind at least.
C.C. from Code Geass
Another asbolute queen who adores food? I wish I was her.
Maki from Jujutsu Kaisen
A big hit for us int the past two years was Jujutsu. While Maki isn’t our favorite girl, we do love her so.
Tatsumaki from One Punch Man
I honestly don’t know much of Tatsumaki but I love her character design. Plus she’s short just like us.
Sakuya from Servamp
For some reason when I was thinking of green haired characters, this dumbass vampire from this show came to mind. He wasn’t even my favorite but he sure is living rent free in my mind.
Well, that’s it for today’s post! That was a very short list of some of our favorite green haired characters. Now we are going to enjoy the rest of this holiday by making some Shepherd’s pie and watching anime–or k-dramas. It could really go either way.
