It’s a scorcher out there ya’ll. I hope you all are staying cool and hydrated out there. We’ve been surviving and thriving and now we’re back at it again with another one of our holidays! Welcome all, to Hotsui Matsuri!
If you’ve been around the blog for the past few summers, you’ll know exactly what you’re in for for the next five days. However, if you’re new to the blog I’ll give you a quick preview. Hotsui Matsuri is the time of the year we focus on more traditional and folklore aspects of Japan. From anime with a traditional twist, to talking about legends and folktales, to highlight fashion, this is a moment to highlight these things in honor of the season of Obon. This year we’ll be covering things such as Tengu, more traditional instruments, Demon Slayer reviews, and so much more!
