Hey readers! Welcome to Doki Doki Days 2025! We thought we should bring back a classic with Top Couples but with a twist! We’ll only talk about couples found in 2024! With the resurgence of Shoujo, there were actually quite a few couples this year that are worth mentioning. So without further ado, here is our lineup!

Yuki Itose & Itsuomi Nagi

Watching these two interact and diving into each other’s world was so heart warming to watch! Not to mention an anime that was transparent about disabilities.

Hotaru Hinase & Hananoi Kun

At first I wasn’t sure what to make from this couple, with a big who’s head over heels and a girl who is practically Ace trail run a relationship. He turned out to take it much better than expected and she began to grow feelings for him.

Prince Wakamiya & Lady Hamayu

This engagement was surprising, because it was a plan from the start posing as a difficult decision.  There was a lot of context that arrived right as you needed it in order to understand this couple. And honestly, there was no clearer choice for the Prince at the end of the day.

Hiromu Fujiyoshi & Masaki Fujiyoshi

This was a graceful introduction to the Omegaverse in the world of anime. It did such a wonderful job at also showcasing what a positive same-sex marriage could look like and all the struggles it comes with.

Rouge & Naomi

Although it is not canon from the creators I do think their partnership and comradery is worth noting here. They worked as a team and only grew closer, trusting and watching our for one another. 

I hope this sheds some light on these characters as well as teaching us that  communication, trust, teamwork, love and patience is very important to any couples’ success see you tomorrow for another day of Doki Doki Days 2025!
