Happy Doki Doki Days! It’s that time of year that Star and I decide to dedicate several days to one common theme: love. From shoujo to couples, to our fave boys and girls, to otome video games. These next few days are dedicated to everything that would make your heart go doki doki. To kick everything off, it made sense to us to start with some of our favorite anime couples from 2025. Without further ado, here is our list.
Rintaro x Wagari (The Fragrant Flower Burns with Dignity)
Without a doubt, one of my favorite couples of 2025 was none other than the one from Fragrant Flower. Perhaps it is because both of these characters are so loveable that them as a couple is equally as loveable, but I really think they are incredible together. The soft but strong willed Wagari, the shy and good hearted, Rintaro. Their love story is really cute to me.
Denji x Reze (Chainsaw Man Movie: The Reze Arc)
Perhaps the biggest hear me out on this list. I’m sure some will say whatever, this is just here because Chainsaw Man is popular and how Denji really loves Makima blah blah blah. But honestly, when you watch Denji spend time with Reze in the movie, you can actually see him truly fall in love. He may be infatuated with Makima, but it’s very clear that he’s actually in love with Reze. And despite complications, at the end of the day, you can tell Reze is in love with Denji too.
Kai x Uka (Honey Lemon Soda)
Honestly, this anime was pretty subpar overall. It was cliche, the characters didn’t feel groundbreaking, but there was still something really lovely about the dynamic between Kai and Uka. I think it’s the way that Kai doesn’t just come in and rescue Uka all the time — like yes, he saves her. However, he is very much about also putting confidence in her to stand up for herself.
Loid x Yor (Spy x Family)
No one can deny that this a good pairing. Ever since the first season of Spy x Family, a lot of people have been gunning for this pair. Every season we see the ‘phony’ couple get closer and closer together. I feel like the feelings between them are genuinely growing and we’re all just collectively waiting for them to get together.
Monica x Marshall (Let’s Play)
Now, I’m biased because I’m a big fan of the webtoon version of Let’s Play, so of course I’m going to add this on the list. To me, Monica and Marshall, especially in the first season are really cute together. Even though they are keeping their relationship a secret, you can really tell how much they care about each other. Monica especially really loves Marshall. And I personally love watching them interact.
