2023 Recap, past resolutions and what we have planned for 2024

We’ve made it another year in the blogsphere! There was a lot of things we needed to do to make space for all the other projects we were doing but all in all we felt it was a pretty balanced year. With less time to watch anime, we had less anime posts, if we blogged only for our holiday events we had so much time to research other topics/self-care activities/

Projects!

Speaking of past resolutions….

YCK The Tea!

Last year we mentioned, getting started on our podcast “Y0uC4n7Kn0w the tea!” which we were able to post on spotify and ranked top 30 in America within a month of posting! We were pretty surprised but it motivated us to get better equipment and start writing out our new season of episodes. The first season was “Kumoricon presents Anime Talk Club with Y0uC4n7Kn0w” and our new season will be“Crash Course in Fandom” where we cover more than just anime and Japanese culture, East meets West. We also built our a new site to host our episodes!

Sincerely, YCK

As part of our revamp, we’ve decided to make this blog more like a diary or journal of our adventures. So we’ll be posting more travel videos and journal entries as well as new episodes of our podcast. It’ll be our catch-all blog for everything that we do in the content creation world.

Bro of the Flies

So we learned it’s hard to be one artist and one writer team when you have so many other projects so we started separating tasks and asked for help! We now have an assistant who will storyboard and block color, which will certainly help the caseload.

New Project!

One-Take Vlogs

This is something we’ve been pondering for a while but we have the perfect opportunity to attempt since we’re officially announcing a trip to Japan and Korea this year! We’ve been thinking about gear and destinations and how we plan to make this happen! We’ve built an agenda and we’re thinking of fun ways to incorporate more interactive content into what we do out there!

Discord

We have been discussing this for a while now, but we are getting to the point of opening a server! With all our projects and the decline of bloggers and Twitt— -cough- I mean, “X”, I think it would be amazing to have a place where we can still convene and chat with friends, readers, bloggers, other content creators about our favorite passions and share content. (We aren’t that sold on any social media platforms as of late but we like the protections and control of Discord.)

Sincerely, YCK
