Happy Hotsui Matsuri 2022!

Hey again! We’re back for another year of Hotsui Matsuri! Where we have a count to Obon fest, a day made to celebrate those who have passed. For those of you who are new to our blog, this special event is to celebrate Japanese culture from folklore to popular media. This year we have a good mix of myth, food, music and games often associated with the festival season. So here go, it’s gonna be a party!

This year’s line up:

Day 1: Festival Games

Day 2: Japanese children’s songs

Day 3: Nihongo Legends: Oni

Day 4: Japanese Instruments part 2

Day 5: Hanafuda
