I can’t believe Summer is already here. While the weather where Star and I live hasn’t quite caught up yet, it’s on the horizon and we are ready for it to arrive. Which can also be said about the summer anime season. See, spring 2022 ended up with a lot of good anime–a LOT that are deserving of a second season. While summer 2022 lineup doesn’t excite us nearly as much, we are looking forward to the following titles.
The animation reminds us of Kakegurui and it’s about vampires–we were honestly sold about 20 seconds into the trailer. While I’m not sure what kind of themes this will have, I think we’ll be entertained.
So what happens when someone returns from being isekai’d? We always question this and now we’ll finally have it. We love a good take on what a normal isekai is, so we’re very excited for being isekai’d from an isekai.

Okay honestly…this looks and sounds wild. Reptilian people. A lizard knight. Plans to end the world. It just…sounds wild. We think it’s either going to be really good or really not. Here’s hoping to really good.
Cute girls, cafes, fighting monsters. Okay sure. Honestly, the trailer wasn’t very informative for us but it looks cute so we think it could be. We hope it is.

Another isekai…but this time a doctor from our time who starts investing in health care for a fantasy world. And even better–the reason WHY he does is because he thinks it’s wrong that there isn’t universal healthcare. I love that idea. Hopefully this is wholesome and good.
So a dead idol girl possesses the body of a male idol to make him more popular. Gosh we were so sold so fast.

This is either going to be really degen or really wholesome. It’s sus cause it’s listed as a romance…that better be familial love bro. After all I think the MC is a child and the maid…is not.
The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting
A yakuza member is tasked with babysitting his boss’ kid. This looks so friggin cute. Like it could be the perfect hybrid of yakuza drama and wholesome, or just wholesome–either way we’re down.
I mean…it’s not like we were NOT going to be watching this. It’s only a classic that’s coming back.
I cannot tell you what this is gonna be about just by watching the trailer…but Star and I believe that it could be a masterpiece. The trailer has those feels…but there’s always a chance it bombs instead. So, we’ll see.
Well, that is everything that we’re watching for next season! We definitely have less to watch this time, and as always we’ll drop anything that doesn’t keep our interest by episode five. It’s still quite a lot, but we have some interesting looking new ones–some anticipated second seasons–and of course, we’ll still be watching Summer Time Rendering from last season.
