Top Anime Openings- Summer 2018

Hey guys! Luna here, and today I’m going to be changing it up a bit. Instead of posting a review this week, I thought I’d post my favorite anime openings of the season. There were some really good ones, some really bad ones, and of course—some that were so unexpected I didn’t know what to make of them (I’m looking at you Attack on Titan). Of course, all of this coming from someone who knows nothing about critiquing or analyzing openings—the best qualification I have is that I watch a lot of openings. Also surprisingly, this season had some really catchy songs in my opinion—so believe me when I say this was hard!

So here we go my top ten anime openings in descending order!

10) Yume Oukoku to Nemureru 100 Nin no Ouji-Sama

“Afureru Hikari” by Moumoon

9) Cells at Work!

“Mission! Health First!”  by Kana Hanazawa, Tomoaki Maeno, Daisuke Ono, and Kikuko Inoue

8) My Hero Academia Season 3 – 2nd opening

“Make my Story” by Lenny code fiction

7) Angels of Death

“Vital” by Masaaki Endoh

6) Angolmois: Genkou Kassenki

“Braver” by Straightener

5) Gintama: Shirogane no Tamashii-hen – Kouhan-sen – 2nd opening

“I Wanna Be” by SPYAIR

4) Grand Blue

“Grand Blue” by Shonan no Kaze

3) Free! Dive to the Future

Heading to Over” by OLDCODEX

2) Banana Fish

“Found & Lost” by Survive Said the Prophet

1) Tenrou: Sirius the Jaegar

“Sirius” by Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets

So there you have it. What do you think? Do you agree with some of these? Disagree? I’d love to hear thoughts because personally these are just the tunes I couldn’t seem to get out of my head! Next week we’ll get back to our usual programming of reviews. Until next time—Luna, signing off!!!
