Day 7 of Niji Nights: Characters of Color part 7

Hey it’s the last day of Niji Nights 2026 and I always look forward to another edition of this post, where I get to highlight new (or old) characters of color in Anime! Surprisingly, I found a lot of new characters especially from one anime in particular. There are of course some creative freedoms that the creators take with skin tone in anime where the culture of a character needs to be the focal point but that isn’t always the case so we’re seeing a good mix of it now.

Although there is still a long road ahead I do think we are moving in the right direction for representation in Anime. I love an uphill trend!
