It’s otakutober—the best and worst time of the entire year (or at least in mine, Luna’s, opinion. Now this is because we love the spooky season and content but the. We have to post every single day! Today, I wanted to make a short list of some of our favorite werewolves. Why? Because we honestly love werewolves. I know some people are more into vampires but nah—for me, it’s all about the werewolves! They are my favorite in and out of anime, after all who wouldn’t love those cursed by the moon, who were responsible for the beast of Gevudan, and more? They, as a collective, are the best — but here’s focs outstanding anime ones (in no particular order).
Yuliy Sirius the Jaegar
My fave, my king. I feel like I don’t need to say how much I love Yuliy but just know I do–from his village that burned down to his brother who came back as a vampire and his newfound mission to be a Jaegar. I love my wolf king through and through.
Luke Phantom in the Twilight
Sometimes I wish I didn’t see this dating sim of a show but the highlight in it was surely the Werewolf. Not only did he have a complicated brother story (we love those) , he was also objectively the best out of all the men. I just wish he had even more screentime.
Father-Wolf Children
Excuse me as I wipe tears from my eyes. Papa Wolf from Wolf Children had barely any screentime but I love him just the same. He also is the most werewolf looking werewolf on this entire list which I HIGHLY appreciate.
Wolf – Blood Lad
Wolf–yes I know his name seems too straightforward–is a street fighter with a sad backstory, so naturally, I love him. The dude is a true beast just looking for his mom.
Koga – Inuyasha
I was gonna let Star write this part, but here I am trying to! To be honest, I almost forgot Koga counted as a werewolf. But like, future leader of wolf yokai tribe? It still counts I think! Now the most remember of Koga was that he had a crush on Kagome and that I favored him over Inuyasha, so sure–he makes this list!
