Sup everybody and welcome to future-facing Friday. What exactly is that? No idea, I’ve just made it up to be entirely honest! But what I really mean by that is that it is con crunch time (which I’m sure you know from Star’s latest post) and since I have a LOT to do by next week, I’m copping out and making a super easy and quick post. So please get ready to find out which shows Star and I will be watching for Spring 2022.

We read soccer and we’ve been kind of into Sports anime recently so why not?
Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story
We are SO ready for this show. Honestly, we thought this golfing anime was coming out last season but we were one season off. But now we are ready to watch this girls’ golf anime.
So we have girls’ golf on one side this season and we also have a boys’ ballet anime! I love ballet so I’m really excited to see what this will be.
To be totally real, we’re just watching this as like a nice and hopefully calm slice-of-life on our anime watching list.
Horse racing academy and boys. I could not be more confused and excited. Like why are they making an anime about jockeys? Will the horses be animated well? I want to know.
In all fairness, we both think we’ll end up dropping this anime, but it looks cute? Yeah that’s about it.
Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi
So it’s either going to be really cute or really annoying. About all girls kunoichi. We may end up dropping this too, but who knows?
Kaguya-sama: Love is War – Ultra Romantic
We are SUPER excited for season three of one of our favorite comedies. This is probably going to be our true feel-good of the season.
So I have no idea why we decided to watch this–maybe had to do with gelato? I don’t know but we decided to try it out and thus we will.
Three child oni doing cute things. I might actually really like this, and we both think the artwork is adorable so…win/win?
Honestly, we have little faith that this will be good…but it might. It sounds like a girl who has two sides to her–really cute and popular and then like maybe batshit crazy or prince-esque? We wanna see what her other side is.
A family of spies…need I say more?
This is going to be a drama/mystery that both looks and sounds good. When I first saw a trailer for this I was really excited about it so I hope it’s good.
The Executioner and Her Way of Life
Okay, so Star and I were drawn in solely by the art style and the female cast on the promo art. We think there’s a lack of good anime with full female casts, so we have high hopes this’ll be good.
To Become a Real Heroine! The Unpopular Girl and the Secret Task
So this is about a girl becoming the manager for an idol group at her school…again either really good or gonna be really cringe.
A game of trust and bonds for a group of friends–except this is a horror thriller so it’s giving off some like weird Squid Game vibes or something.
Trapped in a Dating Sim! : The World of Otome Games is tough for Mobs!
So this is a reverse dating game where a guy enters a dating sim where there are plenty of girls but THEY are the ones to choose the males. I don’t know, it sounded like it could be good.
Literally only watching this because of the name. But also it’s a comedy so it might be good–if there’s anything we learned from The Vampire Dies in No Time, it’s that it may just be stupid enough to be funny.
Well, that’s it. That is everything we are watching for Spring 2022! It’s a lot of things–somehow more than last season. Which is amazing in its own way considering we were trying to watch less this season. But in all fairness, we also think there’s a lot more that we might drop throughout the season. And it doesn’t seem like there are any we’re super psyched for (except Kaguya) so we’ll see how this season goes! What are ya’ll watching? Let us know in the comments!
Stay weebtastic,
xoxo
Luna
