Welcome to day 10 of Otakutober 2026! In this blog, I, Star, will continue our recommendations list for what myanimelist.com calls the genre of Horror Anime. Which means you’ll see some anime cross over into our Pschological lists as well.

Junji Ito Collection

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Junji Ito’s work, he is one of the most famous horror artists in the world. With this rise in popularity he was able to make some of his more well known comics into anime productions.

Deadman Wonderland

Honestly, one of my favorite batshit wild anime. It’s about a boy who’s falsely accused of mass murder only to find himself in a sadist game show competition called “DeadmanWonderland”.

Hell’s Paradise

As a last chance for high ranking criminals in the mid-19th century, Tenpo Era Japan, they allowed criminals in expunge their record if they investigate and collect the answer to external youth.

Devilman crybaby

One of Japan’s many fascinations of the character, Devilman. This particular version follows a teenage boy who discovers he has powers as the series continues he becomes more devil in nature.

Kuroshitsuji aka Black Butler

A child meets a demon then contracts said demon to help him avenge the death of his family. When the contract ends, the demon gets to eat the soul of the child. The demon then takes the form of a butler.

And that’s it for now! Excited to add more!
